Advise for the Slightly Twisted Mind...

I received these gems of advise from a dear friend of mine. I hope you enjoy them...

* Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue!

* Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.

* Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

* Drive carefully... It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker.

* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

* If you lend someone something and never see that person again, it was probably worth it..

* Never buy a car you can't push.

* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.

* Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.

* Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.



* The second mouse gets the cheese.

* When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

* You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

* Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.

* We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

* A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

I sincerely hope you enjoy all the detours of your life!

All the People...

What if...

What if, when we were growing up, we all had been taught "Jesus Loves the Little Children" the following way? Would the world be a kinder - more accepting - place today?

Jesus loves all the people
Every person in the world
Red and yellow, black and white
Each is precious in His sight
Jesus loves all the people
in the world



We should love all the people
All the people in the world
With our hearts and with our minds
We should each be colorblind
Spreading love to all the people
in the world

It's not too late to teach this version to our children and grandchildren... take the opportunity everyday to spread God's love.

"Near Living"

Did you ever wonder why it takes a "near death" experience (of yours or someone close to you) to make you realize that you are only "near living"? Life can be so rich, so adventurous, so amazing... and, yet, we tend to go day-to-day just existing.

Our pastor had a "near death" experience while on vacation recently. He shared this ordeal with the congregation last Sunday. It moved many of us to change the way we view our lives and how we live them.

I felt compelled to share his message with you...

True Love
